Happy New Year Loves!
This time of year always makes me a sentimental sap (more than i already am). It's nice to reflect upon the year, all the
connections, lessons, chance encounters, and experiences that sweeten your life if you let it. For me and my music this year
was filled with fulfilling dreams. And I know it wasn't luck, but everything that happened was because I followed my heart,
and pushed myself out there... a little more than comfortable at times....
I played in Nashville to a world wide audience on Music City Roots thanks to the beautiful friendship and support from
Phillip Nelson. This was the year my commercial work crossed to the Latino market, "Save Your Breath" was translated and
recorded in Spanish. All thanks to a wonderful Spanish instructor who happens to be my most favorite customer at Starbucks..
Speaking of coffee... I sent a simple letter to the head of Hear Music to share with them the fruits of my labor and gift them
my new album. We were then granted 3 songs to be in rotation in STARBUCKS locations nationwide. I've had the experience to
share the stage with numerous musicians whom I love and admire. Simply Magic. My dream of revisiting Europe came true in September.
It had been 10 years since i'd seen French Camille! Not only that but Eric and were invited on a tour with Lorenzo Bertocchini
and wonderful friends in Varese Italy. These were friends we had known through mutual friends but never officially met till we
arrived at the airport. Strangers who were no strangers at all... people who fed us, opened there homes to us, and connected
through music with even if the language translation was lacking. I love LOVE LOVE human connections. I do feel we are all a part
of this one song, this can be a beautiful thing when we are able to be harmonious and are loving to one another. I live for these experiences.
2012 bring me more!!
love you all, thanks for being in my lives, and supporting this journey.
xo,
camille

About Camille Cortinas debut solo album «Taken Apart»
Produced By: Eric Neal
Recorded at Sunquist Studios
Mixed and Mastered by Mark Hallman at The Congress House Studio
Camille’s musical style uses storytelling and personal experiences to create a human connection that appeals to audiences of young and old, and her captivating voice smiles through the speakers. While her music remains upbeat, her songwriting finds its way through melancholy and melds into a hopeful and optimistic future. It’s learning to let go of the heartbreaks and find the happiness that life can bring.
For the most update tour/press information please go to www.camillecortinas.com and look for her first solo album on cdbaby and itunes.

Roots has become a trusted brand partner that has done everything in its power to extol its valued sponsors, including Nissan, Whole Foods Markets, Vietti Chili, Ascend Federal Credit Union and The Nature Conservancy.

Happy 2010!
Greetings darlings!
This year has left a sweet taste in my mouth.... Eric and I are now husband and wife,
we are spitting out new tunes, our album is near completion, creativity is in the air,
our home is being filled with puppet friends, Linda Garner and
I found we are meant to be connected at the hip, Aaron started up a bistro with his
family... I'm making pickles, and have dreams to play in Nashville, France and Italy
next year! Aim high right?
All in all it's been a year to remember. I'm still performing live at venues that
emphasize the "listening room" but it's few and far between. if you have a place
in mind for us to play.. email me at
contact@camillecortinas.com.
In the meantime, Eric and I are catching duo shows here and there,
Linda. Camille & the Little Black Dress plan to jump on the scene soon too!
More on that later. :)
So grateful and delighted to be connected to you wonderful people!
Happy Holidays!
love love,
Camille

An Open Letter to Stephen Colbert:
Dearest Stephen Colbert,
My name is Camille Cortinas and I am the singer of the "Hot Pockets" jingle, currently
a sponsor of the Colbert Report. Every time the commercial airs on the
Colbert Report, sales of Hot Pockets go up. I believe this shows the
great demand for Hot Pockets by members of the Colbert Nation.
I further believe that the invisible hand of the free market dictates I come
on your show to help further supply their demand.......
.......I've got that theory correct, right?
I eagerly await your response.
Love,
Camille :)
